Brett is a corporate/ transactional lawyer based in Hong Kong for over 20 years.

He is a M&A and joint venture specialist. Brett regularly counsels clients on their strategies and implementation of their acquisitions, disposals, investments and joint ventures across Asia Pacific, including handling negotiations and drafting of deal documents. He has been the lead counsel on a number of ground breaking China related corporate transactions. His clients include multinationals and SMEs—including both foreign and Chinese enterprises.

Brett also has extensive experience acting for clients in respect of private equity investments, business and corporate restructurings, corporate finance and foreign direct investment.

He has extensive experience advising on transactions in the following sectors:

Brett regularly assists clients with “General Counsel” type advisory services including issues and risks concerning corporate governance, directors duties, general regulatory and compliance, competition law, financial regulations and commercial and employment issues.

Prior to cofounding our firm in November 2017, Brett was a partner at DLA Piper, Addleshaw Goddard and Laracy Gall.
